Because of high usage from 5 to 7 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, WaterOne in Johnson County is encouraging 15,000 customers in the south part of its coverage area to go voluntarily to an even-odd conservation system.
Owners of even-numbered houses are asked to water outdoors only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while those at odd-numbered addresses should water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends. No limits are being set on the amount of water used.
The affected area includes far south Olathe, parts of Overland Park south of 119th Street and much of Aubry and Spring Hill townships. Find more information and a map at www.waterone.org.
