Two adults and seven children were injured in an accident that snarled rush hour traffic Wednesday on Interstate 435.
Police said a Ford Explorer carrying two adults and seven children ages 3 to 10 slid off the right side of the road and overturned once about 5:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes just before 103rd Street.
At least one of the children was ejected from the vehicle. All of the occupants were transported to hospitals but all are expected to be OK. Police said the accident was still under investigation but might have been caused by a tire failure. No other vehicles were involved.
