A Kansas City man killed in a Fourth of July traffic crash has been identified as 34-year-old Richard C. Frazier.
Kansas City police said Frazier was a passenger in a car that wrecked in the 5100 block of Paseo just after 8 p.m. Thursday.
The driver was headed south on Paseo when she lost control of her vehicle, according to police. The car went over a curb and struck a tree in the grassy median separating the north and south lanes of Paseo, police said.
Frazier was declared dead at the scene. The woman who was driving suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She remained hospitalized Friday and police are continuing to investigate.
