Power has been restored to thousands of homes that lost electricity this morning when a power pole was knocked down in a Lenexa traffic crash.
But Lenexa police said that a stretch of Lackman Road between 79th Street and Blackfish Parkway could be closed most of the day Friday as crews repair the damage.
More than 2,400 Kansas City Power & Light customers lost power shortly before 2 a.m. Friday after the one-vehicle collision near 76th Street and Lackman. The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured, police said.
Most people had power back by 3:30 a.m. and all power was restored by 5 a.m., according to a KCP&L spokeswoman.
