A Kansas federal judge sentenced an Independence woman to three years and one month in prison for transporting another woman across state lines for prostitution.
Danyelle M. Putman, 21, admitted in December that she and Tony A. Rogers Jr. took a woman from Independence to Prairie Village after Putman had received a call in August 2012 from vice officers who had found her number on an Internet site.

Police took the woman into custody after Putman and Rogers dropped her off. They soon were stopped and arrested. Rogers is serving a 57-month sentence.
