One person was killed and three people were wounded — one critically — in a shooting in Kansas City on Monday night.
Police said witness accounts indicate that two groups of people were shooting at each other from separate vehicles outside at an apartment complex at 1715 Kansas Ave. Officers were called to that location shortly after 9:15 p.m. and found a man dead. Shortly afterward, two female victims arrived at a McDonald’s a few blocks away, at 1421 Prospect Ave. Both were rushed to hospitals but were expected to survive, said police spokesman Darin Snapp.
In addition, a second man showed up at a hospital with critical wounds, believed to be involved in the same shooting. Police had not been able to interview him as of late Monday night.
