A 24-year-old Kansas City man pleaded guilty Wednesday to his role in a June 2011 traffic accident that killed a 65-year-old woman.
Gertrude Price was on her way to retile and paint the women’s restroom at her church when a speeding truck driven by Jonathan Ross ran a red light and slammed into her car. She was thrown under the vehicle, where she died.

Ross pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, motor vehicle tampering, three counts of assault, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while revoked and stealing a motor vehicle.
He is scheduled for sentencing July 26.
