Police are investigating a shooting Wednesday morning where a two armed robbers forced their into a Kansas City, North apartment looking for drugs.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting about 4:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Northeast Vivion Road found a man in his mid-20s suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim told police that he was home with two roommates when the gunmen forced their way into their apartment.
The men, who were wearing ski masks, demanded drugs. As he tried to flee, the victim was shot by one of the gunmen.
Police searched the area and couldn’t find the suspects. Officers, however, found a large amount of marijuana inside the residence.
