Six people, including a 9-year-old boy, were injured Wednesday afternoon in a Merriam traffic crash.
The three-vehicle crash occurred about 3 p.m. on Antioch Road at the top of the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 35. One car traveling on Antioch and one on the highway ramp collided after one of them ran a red light. The cars then ran into the side of a pickup truck. Police investigators are working to determine which vehicle ran the light.
The most seriously injured victim appeared to be the 9-year-old boy, who had to be extricated from one of the cars. A 43-year-old man in that car suffered a possible broken arm. Four teenagers in the other car suffered serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Two men in the pickup truck were not injured.
