Lawrence police arrest two in Sunday shootings

Lawrence police on Monday arrested two people in connection with two early morning shootings on Sunday that left the victims with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the two arrested are both Topeka residents. A 20-year-old was arrested for attempted first-degree murder of the two men in the 800 block of Greever Terrace about 3:40 a.m. A 29-year-old was arrested for domestic battery related to the shootings.

Both were arrested in Shawnee County and were taken to the Douglas County jail. Charges are pending.
