Mayor appoints KCI advisory group

Kansas City Mayor Sly James on Tuesday named 24 people to a new advisory panel to study options for the future of KCI airport.

The group will be co-chaired by architect Bob Berkebile and retired accountant Dave Fowler and has residents of both Missouri and Kansas. It includes people who favor KCI’s current configuration, some who support a newly consolidated airport terminal and others who haven’t made up their minds.

James hopes for the group’s recommendations by the end of this year.
