Olathe police, along with the Johnson County Sheriff’s office, will have a DUI checkpoint overnight Friday.
The special enforcement effort will be held from 11 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Sunday at an undisclosed location.
Motorists passing through the checkpoint will be stopped and police will look for signs the driver is impaired, police said.
Those who are driving drunk will be arrested. Police will also check for valid driver’s licenses.
The check lanes are part of the Impaired Driving Deterrence Program administered by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
