Though snow has yet to arrive, some airlines are already canceling flights for Wednesday night and Thursday at Kansas City International Airport.
Travelers should check the status of their flights before going to the airport, spokesman Joe McBride said. Updated flight information is available at www.flykci.com, or by calling the airlines. The situation could get much worse tomorrow, McBride said.
The airport tries to alternate air traffic on different runways as crews clear falling snow, McBride said. But if expected crosswinds out of the east are too strong, the airport could face some temporary stoppages, depending on how fast snow falls.
