Police searching for vehicle involved in road rage shooting near Overland Park
The Overland Park Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a road rage incident in which multiple shots were fired Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred between 7:05 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. Tuesday near the Kansas Highway 10 and Kansas Highway 7 interchange, Overland Park Police Department spokesperson Officer John Lacy said in a news release Wednesday.
Officers did not say how the incident began. The exchange continued onto eastbound Kansas Highway 10 before heading east onto Interstate 435, where “multiple gunshots” were fired at the victim on the highway just west of Quivira Road, Lacy said.
Officers said that the suspect vehicle is a white Chevrolet Malibu, potentially a 2017 or 2018 model, Lacy said. Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident; the driver was a man.
