A big spread for Nelson museum’s ‘Picnic Project’

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art on Sunday unfurled “The Picnic Project,” which made a 10,000-square-foot gingham-pattern picnic blanket on the museum’s lawn. The public was invited to help place the 400 printed light-colored tiles to complete the piece.
