Donated diamond ring fetches thousands for Salvation Army

A European-cut diamond that someone dropped into a Salvation Army red kettle outside a Shawnee store sold for $6,325 Tuesday on eBay. The diamond, set in a ring donated by Meierotto’s Jewelers in Kansas City, North, was bought by an unknown buyer from out of state.
