A sheriff’s deputy who fatally shot a man in Olathe on Oct. 13 was legally justified, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announced Tuesday.
Matthew L. White, 46, was killed in the 200 block of North Keeler Street after he ran away from a parked car that a deputy was approaching. Authorities did not say what prompted the shooting.
