The teams have created a diverse field of designs — showcasing bugs, bodily systems, magnets, aeronautics, space, robotics, tornadoes, energy and more.
The contest, which aims to inspire students in science, technology, engineering and math, also brings grants or cash awards up to $50,000 to the winning schools.
Voting will continue through Nov. 18 at www.battleofthebrainskc.com.
