Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder today broke his two-day silence on his ties to a woman described as a former Penthouse magazine Pet with a fiery, six-sentence statement.
In it, he admits that he is “not proud of every place I have been.”

But he calls the story from former Pet Tammy Chapman that first appeared in the St. Louis-based Riverfront Times “bizarre” and “not true.”
Further, Kinder blames the Democratic Party and Gov. Jay Nixon for pushing the story.
“The Democrats have tried to use these tactics against me in the past, and they have failed.
“Jay Nixon may want to make up false stories about the past, but I, like most Missourians, remain focused on the issues that are important to Missourians like jobs and education.”
