New effort takes on Kansas City's weed-infested vacant lots

An armada of privately owned lawn mowers, weed whackers and leaf blowers roared onto South Benton today, where they attacked one of Kansas City's thorniest problems: overgrown, weed-infested vacant lots. The city has set aside $1 million in a new effort to combat the problem.
