Brittany Mahomes shares Taylor Swift pics from Eras Tour theme party (& Patrick in a tux)
Brittany Mahomes shared party pics with her Instagram followers Wednesday that showed the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes at a party with Taylor Swift.
Though Mahomes didn’t say what the occasion was, or where the photos were taken, Swift’s fans deduced they were pictures from Swift’s birthday party apparently celebrated in Kansas City. She turned 35 on Friday, Dec. 13.
“My people,” Mahomes captioned the five photos.
The NFL wife and co-owner of the KC Current soccer team is seen in two photos with Patrick and in three pictures with Swift — as well as Swift’s BFF Ashley Avignone and Lyndsay Bell, wife of Chiefs tight end Blake Bell.
It didn’t take long for Swift’s fans to recognize a distinct Eras Tour theme to what guests were wearing. Swift wrapped up the tour on Dec. 8.
“Everyone’s in an Eras outfit!!!!” one commented on the post.
Guests were seen wearing friendship bracelets and outfits reflecting various Swift albums, including “Fearless” and “Lover.” Brittany wore a silver fringed minidress like the one Swift wore during the “Fearless” set of her show.
Fans noticed the “Reputation”-themed snake boa around Avignone’s neck. “Guys it kind of looks like the girls are wearing eras tour themed fits!! Also is that a snake around Ashley’s neck,” one fan wrote.
Patrick wore white tie and tails, and a top hat, like the costumes worn by Swift’s dancers in “The Tortured Poets Department” set of the Eras Tour show — the same costume Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce wore when he showed up as a surprise performer over the summer.
“Looks like he made an appearance on the eras tour stage,” joked one fan.
“Much like the year prior, Taylor celebrated her birthday in an embellished LBD (Little Black Dress),” Swift style watcher Sarah Chapelle noted on her Instagram account, Taylor Swift Styled.
Of Swift’s Balmain halter neck knit dress ($4,290), Chapelle wrote: “Compared to last year’s tight mini (by Clio Peppiatt), this dress is a flared halter made from a stretchier knit fabric. It also looks like her birthday was celebrated Eras-style.”
