One of three male cheetahs acquired last year by the Kansas City Zoo died unexpectedly Sunday, the zoo announced.
The cause of death is not yet known. A necropsy was performed but the results could take several weeks.
The cheetah was named Drogon. He and litter mates Viserion and Rhaegal were born at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Texas and came to the Kansas City Zoo in February 2017.
