It looks like the Saturday morning rains in Kansas City will taper off to a drier afternoon, but then some severe weather could hit.
Meteorologists aren't sure what will come with a second round of expected rain and thunderstorms Saturday evening.
But strong, straight-line winds and large hail are possible, as well as isolated tornadoes across the Kansas City area, said Chris Gitro, meteorologist with the National Weather Service out of Pleasant Hill.
"We’ll just have to see how things develop this afternoon," Gitro said. "It’s kind of up in the air at the moment."
