Four children perished in an overnight house fire in Trenton, Mo.
The house fire in the 1300 block of Norton Street was reported between midnight and 1 a.m. Saturday.

He said two families lived in the house, and five people, including one other child, were able to escape the blaze.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, which may have been electrical, Morris said. The house had a smoke detector on the first floor but authorities were unsure if there was a detector on the second floor.
