Kansas City police sought the public’s help Tuesday in identifying a person thought to be a witness to the fatal shooting Friday of a 32-year-old woman.
Police circulated a photo of a person on a motorcycle, who detectives think may have “key information” about the slaying of Jessika Peppers. Peppers was found shot in the 5700 block of Cambridge Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. Friday.
Peppers was taken to a hospital, where she died two hours later. Police took a suspect into custody at the shooting scene.
The witness was driving the motorcycle shown in the photo just after the shooting, police said.
