South KC inundated with flooding again
Torrential rains fell overnight causing historic flooding in southern Kansas City early Tuesday. This is the third time in the past month that many parts of Kansas City seen heavy rains.
Westport shooting kills off-duty Lee’s Summit police officer
Authorities said that Thomas Orr, a Lee’s Summit police officer who was off duty, was fatally shot during a party in Westport Sunday. Orr was at the party shooting photos, and had just started work as a school resource officer at Campbell Middle School last week. Friends said Orr sought to be an agent of change.

Eclipse day in the Kansas City area was a mixed bag
