The stories have been coming at us in waves. Through Facebook and Twitter, survivors of sexual harassment and sexual assault have been speaking out and sharing their experiences of being groped, subjected to lewd gestures, raped.
The most recent breaking point came after a lurid 2005 conversation between presidential candidate Donald Trump and then- “Access Hollywood” co-host Billy Bush was released on Oct. 7.
It takes courage to come forward, and it’s so important. The Star wants to give voice to people who have faced harassment and assault.
We want to know what you’ve experienced and how recent conversations in the country have made you feel. We want to provide a platform for more survivors to be heard. Our hope is that a better understanding of harassment and assault — and its effects — will help us forge a path toward understanding and change.
