Celebrating Kansas City’s growing tech and entrepreneurial community, 1WeekKC will offer events that aim to connect innovators in the area. 1WeekKC will be June 9-15.
This is the event’s third year. Adam Arredondo, one of the week’s organizers, said he has seen startups and entrepreneurship grow over the last couple of years, and he thinks those businesses can especially thrive in Kansas City.
“Kansas City has seen a real explosion of an organized startup community,” Arredondo said. “There has been a real concerted effort to really push this community forward.”
1WeekKC’s events are sponsored by Sprint Corp., the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, UMB Financial Corp., Garmin, KCSourceLink and the Kansas City Economic Development Corp. Reservations are required for most events and can be made at 1weekkc.com.
