Bats Global Markets, a Lenexa-based operator of electronic stock market platforms, said its May trading activity was essentially unchanged in Europe but fell slightly in the United States.
Bats Chi-X Europe said it recorded market share of 22.4 percent last month, in line with April results. However, the exchange said trading volume was stronger for markets in Spain and Sweden.
The company’s U.S. equities market share was 10.4 percent in May, down from 10.9 percent in April.

Dalian Wanda Group, a closely held Chinese property developer that owns AMC Entertainment Inc. in Kansas City, is in talks to invest in Sunseeker International Ltd. as the British luxury yacht maker seeks to expand into the world’s second largest economy.
Dalian Wanda, controlled by billionaire Wang Jianlin, plans to take a stake in the yacht manufacturer, but the financial terms of the deal aren’t completed, according to Bloomberg News.

TiVo settled patent disputes with Cisco, Motorola Mobility and Time Warner Cable, averting a trial that was to begin next week and bringing to a close a string of long-running legal squabbles over its pioneering digital video recorder technology.
Under the agreement, TiVo will get a lump sum payment of $490 million from Google and Cisco Systems. Cisco will be responsible for $294 million of that, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
TiVo will also enter into patent licensing deals with Google, Cisco and Arris Group. Google bought Motorola Mobility in 2012 and sold its set-top making unit to Arris this year.Bankruptcy vote
American Airlines’ creditors could begin voting this month on the company's turnaround plan and proposed merger with US Airways.
A federal bankruptcy judge in New York gave American's parent company, AMR Corp., approval Friday to send solicitation material to creditors by June 20. They will have until July 29 to vote.
If creditors go along, the judge could confirm the reorganization plan at a hearing scheduled for Aug. 15, clearing the way for AMR to combine with US Airways and emerge from Chapter 11 protection.Monsanto sued

The complaint by the Center for Food Safety filed in federal court in Spokane, Wash., follows a June 3 lawsuit brought after wheat modified to withstand St. Louis-based Monsanto’s Roundup Ready weedkiller was discovered on a farm in Oregon last month.
