Research Medical Center’s Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute is teaming with The Research Foundation, the Bixby Institute and the Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society to present a two-day symposium aimed at helping medical professionals improve their work-life balance and avoid burnout.
The symposium is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 23 at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24 at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center.
It will include a screening of the documentary film, “Patient: A surgeon’s journey” and presentations by HCA Midwest Health providers, including Dr. Peter Van Veldhuizen, an oncologist at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Research Medical Center.
