It’s official. The Apple Store is relocating on the Country Club Plaza and will be the first tenant to open in the new Plaza 211 building, formerly Halls Plaza.

In an email, Apple said it plans a 10 a.m. opening Saturday at 227 Nichols Road. Apple officials couldn’t be reached for comment, but Plaza officials confirmed the new Apple location.

Halls Plaza closed in August 2014 and consolidated with its Crown Center store. Its Plaza building, at 211 Nichols Road, was scheduled to be renovated and reopen in fall 2015 as Plaza 211 with several retailers and possibly a two-story restaurant on the east corner.

Earlier this year, Apple applied for a work permit for a space in the building, but an Apple spokeswoman said the company had not made an announcement for that site.

Apple opened in its current space at 4712 Broadway in September 2004.
