Los Corrals restaurant, which was founded downtown in 1949, is expanding.
Stephen Neal bought the Mexican restaurant at 408 W. Ninth St. two years ago. Now he’s taken over a space at 6024 N.E. Antioch Road, Suite B, in Gladstone.
He’s remodeling the spot and hopes to reopen it as a Los Corrals in time for Cinco de Mayo celebrations on May 5.
“It seems like a good fit for us. We have a lot of customers from that area,” Neal said.
Los Corrals is known for its housemade tortilla chips. It also sells its hot and mild sauces in area grocery stores.
The Gladstone space formerly housed Tanner’s Bar & Grill and then Diego’s Bar & Grill.
