Kansas, Kansas City restaurant & grocery store inspections for May 22

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

Bonner Springs Price Chopper, 501 S. Commercial, Bonner Springs, had 18 priority violations during an April 25 inspection following a complaint. It had five priority violations during a May 9 follow-up inspection.

Godavari, 7328 W. 119th St., Overland Park, had 15 priority violations during an April 24 follow-up inspection.

Panchos Mexican Food, 8695 Bluejacket, Lenexa, had 13 priority violations during an April 17 inspection following a complaint. It had one priority violation during an April 30 follow-up inspection.

Sakura Sushi Train, 1109 E. Santa Fe St., Olathe, had 12 priority violations during an April 4 follow-up inspection.

Chips & Coins, 720 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan., had nine priority violations during an April 23 routine inspection. It had five priority violations during a May 8 follow-up inspection.

Gangnam Korean, 10326 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during an April 4 follow-up inspection.

Hen House, 6900 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during an April 3 routine inspection.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, 5307 Johnson Drive, Mission, had nine priority violations during an April 18 routine inspection. It had no priority violations during an April 28 follow-up inspection.

Bistro 913, 7702 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Overland Park, had eight priority violations during an April 5 routine inspection. It had no priority violations during an April 18 follow-up inspection.

Hibachi Go, 9337 Harbinger St., Lenexa, had eight priority violations during an April 23 first operational inspection after licensing. It had two priority violations during a May 7 follow-up inspection.

Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, 11969 S. Strang Line Road, Olathe, had seven priority violations during an April 3 routine inspection. It had no priority violations during an April 16 follow-up inspection.

Joy Wok, 11920 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an April 4 follow-up inspection.

Pan-Asia Market, 11940 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an April 24 follow-up inspection.

Kansas City Missouri Health Department shared their top critical violations found during routine inspections in 2016 at restaurants and grocery stores in Kansas City. Critical violations can contribute to foodborne illness.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:

Pizza Ranch, 4801 N. Oak Trafficway, had nine critical violations during an April 26 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a May 7 follow-up inspection.

Carniceria Y Tortilleria San Antonio, deli, 2904 Independence Ave., had eight critical violations during an April 27 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during a May 7 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a May 17 follow-up inspection.

HopCat, 401 Westport Road, had eight critical violations during an April 24 routine inspection. It had three critical violations during a May 2 follow-up inspection, one critical violation during a May 10 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a May 17 follow-up inspection.

Louie's Wine Dive, 7100 Wornall Road, had seven critical violations during an April 27 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a May 7 follow-up inspection.

Carniceria Y Tortilleria San Antonio, market, 2904 Independence Ave., had seven critical violations during an April 27 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a May 7 follow-up inspection.
