Kansas and Kansas City restaurant inspections for March 30

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

Sakura Sushi Train, 1109 E. Santa Fe St., Olathe, had 16 priority violations during a Feb. 22 routine inspection.

Hen House Market, 11930 College Blvd., Overland Park, had 14 priority violations during a March 19 routine inspection.

Smoke N Fire, 8030 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had 13 priority violations during a March 16 routine inspection.

Thai Place, 9359 W. 87th St., Overland Park, had 12 priority violations during a Feb. 22 routine inspection. It had three priority violations during a March 7 follow-up inspection.

Wa Restaurant, 740 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had 12 priority violations during a March 7 routine inspection. It had three priority violations during a March 27 follow-up inspection.

Pizza Shoppe, 7908 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a March 19 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:

Big B's Deli, 3800 Gregory Blvd., had nine critical violations during a Feb. 26 routine inspection. It had five critical violations during a March 9 follow-up inspection and two critical violations during a March 19 follow-up inspection.

Winstead's, 6260 N.W. Barry Road, had nine critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during March 23 follow-up inspection.

Bar Louie Kansas City, Power & Light District, 101 E. 14th St., had eight critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 20 follow-up inspection.

Cafe Ha Tien, 1032 W. 103rd St., had seven critical violations during a March 8 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 16 follow-up inspection.

54th Street Grill & Bar, 9251 N.E. Barry Road, had seven critical violations during a March 12 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 19 follow-up inspection.

Iron Wok, 6411 N.W. 72nd St., had seven critical violations during a March 8 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 16 follow-up inspection.

Jerusalem Bakery, 1404 Westport Road, had seven critical violations during a Feb. 26 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during a March 6 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a March 14 follow-up inspection.

No Other Pub, Power & Light District, 1370 Grand Blvd., had seven critical violations during a March 16 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 22 follow-up inspection.

P Moore & Moore BBQ, 9103 E. 39th St., had seven critical violations during a March 2 routine inspection. It had three critical violations during a March 16 follow-up inspection.
