Legends Outlets Kansas City will soon give its customers a place to unwind in a park-like setting.
Dubbed “the Lawn,” it will have green space and shaded areas with tables and chairs, along with interactive elements including a jumbo outdoor LED screen on the south side of Legends’ landmark smokestack and a smaller LED display facing east toward the Civic Courtyard Fountain. Construction is scheduled to begin later this month with a late fall opening planned.
In a statement, Legends general manager Jennifer Wojcik said, “Legends Outlets is a shopping destination built on experience. The Lawn will further enhance those experiences by providing shoppers, visitors and families with an engaging gathering space for leisure activities, picnics, screenings and events of all kinds.”
In other Legends Outlets news, Cavender’s will relocate to a 16,330-square-foot retail space that will combine Suite D-105 and D-107 at 1867 Village West Drive, facing the Lawn site. It plans to relocate in mid-July. Cavender’s, a western-wear retail chain, opened with the shopping center in 2006.
