Kansas City-based Niall, a 2-year-old startup company that makes luxury watches, earned top notice in The Good Trade as an American-made watch.

The Good Trade is an online site founded to track brands and products that, according to its mission, “create positive social change.”

The citation about Niall, based in the East Crossroads, said: “Niall is a Kansas City based brand that brings quality and swagger together through their iconic luxury designs. Their brand communicates a relentless pursuit of perfection along with some good old fashioned patriotism. CEO Michael Wilson credits Niall’s success in onshoring manufacturing to a transparent approach to collaboration. Niall’s watches use American-made cases, dials, hands, crowns, glass, gaskets, screws, straps and buckles. They’ll be as close as you’ll get to wearing a little bit of America on your wrist.”

Wilson also earned national attention when he gave a custom-made, blue-faced Niall watch to Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost to wear after Major League Baseball banned smart watches in dugouts.
