Working with Christopher Elbow Chocolates has its advantages.
“It’s a dream for us to work on a brand like Christopher Elbow,” said Sullivan Higdon & Sink co-chief executive Ali Mahaffy. “It doesn’t hurt that they bring treats to every meeting.”
Sullivan Higdon & Sink landed Christopher Elbow Chocolates, the popular Kansas City chocolatier, as a new client, the firm announced this week.
Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

Kansas Citians are likely familiar with Sullivan Higdon & Sink’s work, whether they realize it or not. The firm designed Shatto Milk Company’s packaging and branding, which has won a haul of local and national industry awards. Fast food chain Sonic Drive-In also hired Sullivan Higdon & Sink to design its packaging.
Mahaffy said her firm’s work with Christopher Elbow will include website design and packaging for new products.
“I think he’s got his core products and he has such a great following and a great brand identification in those core products,” Mahaffy said. “I think what people will see is really exciting and intriguing new products and they could have a different twist to them.”
Christopher Elbow operates out of storefront locations in Kansas City and San Francisco and sells its products through retailers in 14 states.
“With the website, it will give us the opportunity to spread his message nationally,” Mahaffy said.
