WICHITA — The Sedgwick County treasurer's office began this week mailing more than 260,000 tax bills for 2010.

Real, personal, utility and special assessments totaling more than $520 million will be billed for various taxing authorities, including school districts, cities, townships and the county, the treasurer's office said.

The bills are going out a little later than normal.

Sedgwick County normally mails the bills during the last two weeks of November. But technology upgrades delayed the process this year, the treasurer's office said.
