This week, the PR stunt prize goes to KFC for ... drum roll, please ... edible nail polish.
Yes, it’s true. KFC is testing “Finger Lickin’ Good” nail polish in Hong Kong that comes in two flavors: Original and Hot and Spicy.
“To use, consumers simply apply and dry like regular nail polish, and then lick — again and again and again,” the brand said in a statement in Adweek.com.

“The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish,” said John Koay, creative director with marketing company Ogilvy & Mather.
What isn’t clear is what the nail polish is made of and how long it lasts. So far, the reaction probably hasn’t been what KFC was hoping for.
But who knows? It might catch on in Hong Kong. Because this music video really makes you want some.
