Reservations for Kansas City Restaurant Week are now available

Christmas and New Year’s are right around the corner — so making restaurant reservations for January might not be at the top of your to-do list.

But it’s not too early to start making plans for 2014’s

Kansas City Restaurant Week

, scheduled for January 17-26.

Reservations are now available at more than 125 local restaurants participating in the 10-day event, which benefits three charities:

, Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation, and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Assocation’s Educational Foundation.

Kansas City Restaurant Week, launched in 2010 by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association, raised $173,000 in 2013.

If there’s a restaurant you’ve been meaning to try, Restaurant Week is a good time to do it: Participating eateries offer $15 multi-course lunches and $33 dinners throughout the 10-day event, so customers can sample several items from the menu without racking up a huge bill.

You can make reservations by calling the restaurants directly or using the recently revamped Restaurant Week website,

Not sure which restaurant you want to go to? At the website, you can search through participating restaurants by name, cuisine and location.
