Toast National Mojito Day at these local bars

When it comes to refreshing summer drinks, it’s hard to beat the mojito, a cooling Cuban rum drink made with sugar, fresh lime juice and plenty of mint leaves.

In honor of National Mojito Day and today’s 90-degree temps, we rounded up a list of local bars with mean mojitos.

Ra Sushi

in Leawood serves three varieties: Lime, Mango and Strawberry.

Mestizo

in Leawood uses citrus-flavored Bacardi Limon rum in its $7 mojitos.

Cafe Trio

on the Plaza named its strawberry-mango mojito after Ricky Martin. Just tell the bartender you’re into living la vida loca.

Piropos

in Briarcliff Village muddles cooling cucumber in its mojitos ($8).

Zocalo

on the Plaza dunks blueberries in its $8 Cuban cocktails.
