Warning: Do not read Ink’s Spring/Summer 2015 Dining Guide on an empty stomach.
The special double issue, out now, features 25 restaurants recommended by Ink and Chow Town reporter Sarah Gish — everything from hot brunch spots to lunch-only barbecue shacks and date night-worthy destinations. Also in the mix: A tiny Cajun cafe in Lawrence, a taco shop tucked away in a Westport bar and an Ethiopian buffet in the City Market.

Ink’s latest dining guide also boasts a roundup of 87 restaurants, bakeries, bars, coffee shops and food trucks that are new to the Kansas City area. The cover was shot on location at Char Bar, which has a beer garden with bocce and croquet. Char Bar’s Burnt Heaven sandwich, which piles burnt ends with house-made sausage, is featured inside.
