Boulevard Brewing Co.’s new beer should hit a high note with fruit fans.
Jam Band Berry Ale, the latest year-round release from the Kansas City brewery, gets its sweet-tart flavor from blueberries, raspberries and tart cherries. The beer pours into KC-area bars on Feb. 5 and liquor stores on Feb. 6. And soon it will be available across Boulevard’s 39-state territory.

The ruby-colored brew is made by blending in berry and cherry juice at the end of fermentation. According to Boulevard, Jam Band also boasts notes of melon and citrus, so it should be a refreshing pick on a warm spring day.
Some of the brewery’s fans took to Twitter to share their excitement over Jam Band Berry Ale’s upcoming release.
But fruity beer isn’t everyone’s jam.
If Jam Band sounds familiar, it’s because Boulevard distributed the berry beer last summer as a draft-only limited release.
When fans demanded an encore, the brewery added Jam Band Berry Ale to its year-round lineup.
