I’ve ordered big boxes of merchandise from CB2 to give as Christmas gifts more than once. The stuff is beautifully designed and nicely priced. But sometimes it seems as though the company’s line of products doesn’t change much.
Then the latest catalog arrived in the mail with items that look fresh and new. The Suitor Joy loveseat ($1,199), the “fashion-forward two-seater (that) winks at parlor wingback curves with a burst of color and pattern,” is fun and fresh. I love the Suzani print. It would look great as seating for a dining table with either a few of the Candlestick Pendants ($59.95 each) hanging over it or a Radial Chandelier ($699), depending on the size of the table. The former is finished in brass, which is trending big right now and the later has been designed by Ceci Thompson, a Brooklyn-based designer, and crosses the line between industrial and modern.
The Heavy Metal basket ($79.95) and Greige Buffet ($699) would add a nice contrast and provide storage.
