Break out the shiplap, HGTV fans: “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines are returning to the Greater Kansas City Home Show in 2016.
The house-flipping couple from Waco, Texas, is scheduled to appear on Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20, at the Kansas City Convention Center’s Bartle Hall. The Gaineses were a huge draw at last year’s home show, where they entertained sold-out crowds with stories about their humble beginnings and the making of their wildly popular TV show.
The Gaineses will speak twice on the main stage at the Home Show at Bartle Hall, 3 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
Last year, the couple appeared before sold-out crowds at the Home Show, and this year, tickets to their VIP Show at noon on Saturday sold out in minutes.
The rock star renovators — Joanna is a designer, Chip is a contractor — are known for transforming modest, outdated houses into Pinterest-worthy homes complete with open floor plans, white subway tile and rustic touches such as reclaimed wood and farmhouse sinks. They launched a furniture line called Magnolia Home in January and, just this week, announced they’re working on a book that will come out in October.
We’ll be at the show to talk to them in case you can’t, so send your questions to email@example.com.
The Greater Kansas City Home Show, now in its 67th year, is presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City.
