To paraphrase Eminem, if you had one shot, one opportunity, to photograph everything you ever wanted in one moment, would you capture it or just let it slip?
This is your chance.
Today we ask you to document the day in the Kansas City metro area.
The weather outside is scheduled to be delightful. There may not be any football (KU is at Baylor and K-State, Mizzou and the Chiefs are off), but there’s plenty of other stuff going on: NASCAR, fall festivals, pumpkin patches, the Kansas International Film Festival.
Maybe the kids are playing sports, performing music or just goofing off.
Perhaps you’re hanging out with friends, having a glass of wine on the patio or a beer by the grill.
Or maybe you’re more of a solitary soul, who just wants to take a long walk, enjoy nature, read a book, walk the dog.
Whatever the moment, we want to get a good snapshot of what’s going on in our town today.
We’ll print our favorites next Saturday here and on KansasCity.com.
After you take your photo, e-mail it firstname.lastname@example.org. Put “The Day in Photos” in the subject line. Tell us in less than 50 words who is in the picture, when and where it was taken and any other pertinent information. Include a phone number so we can contact you for confirmation.
