A picture of residents growing old in Johnson County

In the years after World War II, Johnson County was just a baby. Young families started moving in, building homes with G.I. Bill loans and turning pasture into idyllic suburban neighborhoods. Their growing families helped produce the largest baby boom our country has known. Now those baby boomers are aging, and so is Johnson County.
