Home sites in the second phase of Highland Meadows are nearly sold out but a third phase is opening in the next few weeks. Twelve completed field model homes are available to meet the soaring demand with a 13th home about a month from completion.

Highland Meadows offers a winning combination of a prime location, affordable homes and award-winning builders. Because of this trifecta, the Lee’s Summit community continues to draw numerous buyers.

“Sales have been consistent in Highland Meadows,” said Kern Wood, who markets Highland Meadows with Trish Wood for the Rob Ellerman New Home Team. “We have four build-jobs under way and have sold three homes in the past few weeks. We’ve had good traffic recently and are expecting things to really pop.”

The homes available now include two-story, reverse ranch, ranch and 11/2-story plans.

These homes were built by Richard Mather, the developer, who has more than 50 years of experience in the building industry, and Summit Custom Homes, which is the top-permitting home builder in Kansas City and is ranked in the top 200 builders in the United States. Both builders have won numerous awards throughout their careers from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City.

“Every home built by Richard Mather Builders and Summit Custom Homes is energy tested by a third party to assess its energy-efficiency and assigned a HERS Index Rating,” Wood said. “Homeowners can be confident they will save in utility costs.”

He added the spectrum of floor plans offered at Highland Meadows fits a variety of lifestyles from growing families to empty-nesters. Homes are priced from the low $325,000 to the low $400,000s.

Only five home sites remain in the second phase, but reservations are being taken for the third phase that has 12 home sites.

The homes in Highland Meadows are situated along curving streets with rolling topography. The community has a swimming pool and bronze horse statues accent the entryway to welcome residents as they come home.

Highland Meadows is in a thriving area of western Lee’s Summit, just south of Interstate 470 on Longview Road. Residents are minutes from recreational activities at Longview Lake, a golf course and Longview Community College.

“The location is one of the most appealing aspects of Highland Meadows,” Wood said. “Because of the nearby highway access it is easy to get downtown or to Johnson County.

“Longview Road has recently been redesigned and offers new lighting as well as a biking and walking path. You can easily walk or bike from Highland Meadows to the lake, golf course or elementary school.”

Children in Highland Meadows attend the nearby Longview Farms Elementary School in the former Longview Farms horse arena, as well as Lee’s Summit West High School, the newest high school in the highly rated Lee’s Summit district.

Residents also are near New Longview shops, as well as restaurants, shops and services in Summit Crossing and Summit Fair, Lee’s Summit’s newest shopping district.

Those who want a more traditional shopping experience will find it in the award-winning downtown area just minutes away.
