Exclusively built by award-winning Cardinal Crest Homes, Heritage Park is the newest neighborhood within The Village at Shoal Creek Valley, located off Missouri 152 and NE Shoal Creek Parkway.
It will feature 27 distinctive patio homes, all with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two-car rear loaded garages, full basements and priced in the high $290,000s. The model home and a spec home are currently under construction for an early winter occupancy.
“The Shoal Creek neighborhoods are a un ique and great addition to the Kansas City area,” said Adam Schaeffer with Cardinal Crest Homes. “The quality of the houses far surpasses other neighborhoods, which is why several builders, including my business partner and I, choose it for their personal homes.”
Cardinal Crest’s mission is to create homes of long-lasting beauty, value and customer satisfaction. “We build every home as if we were going to live in it and feel a deep connection in our involvement in the greatest investment in someone's life,” Schaeffer said.

The Heritage Park homes are being offered in two floor plans with six different elevations, creating a unique look and feel throughout the neighborhood. “This is not a community with cookie-cutter houses perfectly lined up along a busy street,” said Susan Renschler, who markets the property with Tom Johnson of Keller Williams North.
Exterior architectural materials include stucco on all four sides with stone, shingle, and/or board and batten accents, eye-catching shutters, spacious front porches, and covered rear patios with an option to have them enclosed.
Inside, prospective buyers will find main floor living encompassing approximately 1,500 square feet, efficient use of space and great attention to detail, highlighted by streams of natural light, vaulted ceilings in the great room, and beautiful hardwood floors in all entertainment areas.
The kitchens feature high-end, quality materials and products including all stainless steel appliances, a granite island and countertops, custom cabinetry and double door pantries. The master bathroom includes double vanity sinks, granite countertops, and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower, with a vaulted ceiling and spacious walk-in closet in the master bedroom suite.
Buyers also have a basement finish design option for an additional two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Cardinal Crest Homes is a true design-build company and one of the few area builders offering an innovative, high-tech, 3-D floor plan system featuring personalized virtual home construction tours.
“Our goal has always been to build quality homes with timeless design,” said co-owner Joe Christensen. “This is why we have taken full control over the architecture drawings to ensure this quality.” Cardinal Crest also has an interior designer on staff working with buyers to choose their interior feature selections.
A model home is currently under construction, and lot reservations are being taken.
Each home comes with fully integrated landscaping, and buyers can meet with the landscaper on a custom design, if desired. Homeowner dues include mowing and snow removal, plus access to the many amenities offered throughout the Shoal Creek Valley community, a 1,900-acre master-planned community, and currently the only one possessing the Master Planned Community MPC zoning designation through Kansas City.
The Gate House features plush grounds, meandering garden pathways, media and banquet rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, patios, a large swimming pool, waterfall, hot tub and barbecue pavilion.
The chalet-style Park House features large open interior spaces, a fireplace and comfortable seating, and a large, outdoor water park with a lazy river, two large swimming pools, two waterslides, splash plaza, toddler pool, tanning patios, picnic pavilions and changing rooms.
“The amenities here are unparalleled,” Johnson said, “and are attractive to buyers with small children, to empty-nesters and retirees spending a great deal of time with family and grandchildren.”
Location is key with easy access to Missouri 152, I-35, and I-435, and only a short drive to Zona Rosa, Kansas City International Airport, the Crossroads Art and Power and Light Districts, The Country Club Plaza, and Kauffman Stadium.
Although Shoal Creek has a Kansas City address, its residents are within the highly-rated Liberty School District, and Liberty Oaks Elementary is situated within the community.
Shoal Creek Golf Course is next door, and historic Liberty Square, The Shoppes at Shoal Creek and The Plaza at Shoal Creek are within walking distance.
“The wealth of lifestyle amenities here includes a healthcare center, gym, grocery store, restaurants, and other retail businesses in close proximity, which is one of the most desirable aspects for our residents,” said Renschler. Johnson added, “The neighborhoods at Shoal Creek Valley are sought after as the savvy buyer understands it is about location, location, location.”
