Harsh winter weather can wreak havoc on my skin. Between freezing temps and windchill, I usually find that my face feels the brunt of it, and I’m left with a damaged skin barrier and dry, dry skin. That’s until I added La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 to my routine. I slather it on my face as the last step in my skincare routine, and I can feel the difference immediately. My skin honestly feels better than ever, even though it’s still below freezing outside. This under-$20 product is a game changer, and here’s why you need to add it to your routine, too.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5, $15.99

Amazon

I first heard about the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm on TikTok a while ago, with multiple people raving about how great it is for acne-prone skin. Since I’ve been dealing with that for years, I decided to give it a try. While I do think it helps with my acne a lot, the biggest change I’ve seen has been with my skin barrier this winter. Since it’s formulated with shea butter and glycerin, this balm helps relieve and protect dry and irritated skin.

And after consistent use for the past four months, my skin feels healthier than ever. What’s also great is that you can use this balm on more than just your face. I tend to put an even layer on my face every night, and then I’ll take whatever’s left over and rub it into my hands before jumping into bed. I usually deal with a rash on my hands during the winter from them being dry, but I haven’t spotted it once since I’ve been using this cream.

The balm also been accepted by the National Eczema Association and is suitable for people of all ages, even babies as young as one week. (It can even be used as a diaper rash cream!)

And I’m not the only one that’s a fan of La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. It’s earned 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon with more than 14,800 five-star ratings. Reviewers rave about this product, saying that it has worked wonders on their skin, no matter their age. One reviewer says, “I really do love this product. It’s the best for a compromised skin barrier. I use it in the summer after too much sun exposure, and in the winter for that dry weather skin.” Another adds, “I’ve been using this product for over four months now, and wow. My skin barrier is looking even more amazing every day. My skin looks hydrated, and this is excellent to help heal post-acne blemishes.”

So, not only is this a great product to add to your skincare routine during the winter, but you can continue to use it through summer, especially if you spend a little too much time in the sun. It’s also ideal for anyone with acne-prone skin as it won’t clog your pores and can help reduce the redness caused by blemishes.

Overall, you should keep this product on hand for whatever and whenever you need it. And at this affordable price, you might as well add (at least) one to your cart now.
